Junior Academy (Under 9)

The Hoover Soccer Club’s Junior Academy program is the player’s first step into the 6 v 6 games.  As part of the Junior Academy program players will be introduced to positions including the role of the goalkeeper. 

Players receive training from both volunteer coaches and members of the club's coaching staff.     

Team Selection and Formation

The Under 9 Junior Academy teams are formed for boys and girls by the club through the online registration process, the player’s schools, the primary position listed by the players and by parent requests.  Hoover Soccer Club will try to place equal numbers of positional players on each team.

Junior Academy teams play in the 6v6 format and can have a maximum roster size of 12, although a maximum of 10 is preferred where possible to allow all players adequate playing time.  The Junior Academy teams will play four internal games and four games as part of the Central Alabama Soccer League (CASL).
