Twelve teams represented Hoover Soccer Club in the Girls and Boys 2023 Liberty Cup Tournament which took place over the last 2 weekends in August. All teams competed hard in very difficult heat conditions in this early-season tournament, and HSC produced 3 Champions and 1 Finalist in their age divisions. Congratulations to ALL teams for representing Hoover Soccer Club with great competition and good sportsmanship! Below is summary of our teams that won medals for the tournament.
The 2013 White team captured the Championship in the U11 Predator division by winning all 3 of their games. During these games, they scored 8 goals while only conceding a single goal. Congratulations to coach Eric Woodard and the 2013 White team on a great weekend and a well-deserved first place medal!
The 2011 Boys team finished as the Finalist in the U13 Tango division this past weekend. They won their first 2 games to finish at the top of their bracket and earn a spot in the final. They ended the tournament with a very competitive 2-1 record and some great play on the weekend. Congratulations to Coach Armando and all the 2011 boys on a great Liberty Cup showing!
The 2009 Boys finished the weekend on top of a very competitive group filled with regional teams. They were undefeated on the weekend, finishing with 2 wins and a draw while scoring 4 goals and only conceding a single goal. A big congratulations to Coach Armando and these boys for a dominating their group to capture the U15 Copa division against top-level competition. Well done!
The 2006 Blue Boys came out on top of the U18-U19 Tango division with 2 wins and one draw on the weekend. The team scored 2 goals while giving up none to capture first place in the division. Congratulations to Coach Paul and all the 2006 players for a well-played set of games on the weekend in very challenging conditions!
